Well this is my first book by author Diana Renn but I have to say that this will not be the last. I might go stalk her later today!

This book is for the murder mystery reader. As this book is full of mystery, suspense, and ya murder. This is another book that will take you the ride of your life with a fast paced story about the murder of teenage bike racer, Jaun Carlos. With this book you will be whisked away with a great behind the scenes into the world of bike racing. Which I for one had never read about before.

That really gave this book something that others didn't have. Something NEW! Which made me want to read it all the more! This book will be a great read for both boys and girls. As I think it will appeal to almost anyone who picks it up. Teen and Adult alike.

The characters were great. Fully formed and wonderful. And I can't wait to read the next book she throws at us.

This story have a few twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat as well!

Latitude Zero is the type of book that hooks you on the first page. This book has it all - mystery, suspense, and great characters - including a strong, plucky protagonist that you will root for from the very first page. It's a roller coaster ride of twists and turns, as Tessa travels from New England to Ecuador to discover who really murdered her friend, and why. I highly recommend this book!
SUCH a fun, breezy read! I received this as a gift and couldn't put it down. The plot is fast-paced and kept me guessing, and I really enjoyed the lineup of characters.
Diana Renn has done her homework. Her book is engaging and her characters are ones you'd like to know. The situations they find themselves in are hard--and often influenced by the choices the people have made that result in consequences. Mystery and suspense are engaging and the book is a great read from beginning to end.
Latitude Zero surprised me over and over the action and plot are tight, I loved the unfolding mystery, and the little hints of romance between Tessa and... another character... sweetened everything. I loved the accurate feel of the New England landscape - where I happen to frequent quite often. The book also really makes me want to go to Ecuador! (One of my best friends is from Quito and I felt like I was visiting him.) Renn’s world comes alive on the page, and the culture is dynamic and well represented.

I am not a cyclist, though I have visions of me pedaling through New England streets on a green bike with a basket, holding a baguette and a puppy, perhaps. But I digress. Anyway, I was surprised to find myself enjoying the glimpse into the cycling world that the book provides as much as I did. I suddenly felt the wind in my hair and the friction of my bike tires on the pavement! (I’ll just need to actually buy a bike...)

Overall the most enjoyable fiction I’ve read in months.
I'm already a huge fan of Diana Renn's travel mysteries for teens, and LATITUDE ZERO is stunningly great. After a rebellious boyfriend leads her astray (hey, we've all been there) and convinces her to join an illegal "bandit" ride, children's TV host Tessa finds herself embroiled in the murder of next-big-thing cyclist El Condor. A set of unsettling circumstances—a stolen bike, a run-in with a shady character in the woods and El Condor's agitated last words to her—lead Tessa to suspect that foul play is involved. Haunted by his death, she sets out to learn exactly what happened. It's an enticing premise, to be sure, but it's the steady and believable character arcs and constantly twisting plot that keep this read compelling. Renn's talent is for setting intricate mysteries in fresh new worlds, educating readers but never at the expense of a well-paced storyline. Here, readers unfamiliar with competitive racing or Ecuadorian culture (me on both counts) will come away enriched. Don't miss this one!

Diana Renn has a great eye for interesting research details and the gift of bringing setting to life. Latitude Zero is one of those rare books with equal appeal to both girls and boys. The plot is twisty and brilliant, I loved the character building, and even though I haven’t been on a bike for years, I was intrigued and learned some fascinating stuff. A great read with a lot of insight to offer, this book belongs in every public, middle and high school library.
